AVI50519 – DIPLOMA OF AVIATION
(INSTRUMENT RATING)
All Aviation Australia programs are designed with a balanced focus between knowledge, skills, values and experience, ensuring that graduates enter employment with strong skills and a thorough understanding of aviation quality, safety and environmental standards.
THEORY AND FLIGHT TRAINING
White Star Aviation has joined forces with Aviation Australia to offer the AVI50519 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating). This course is designed for those who have already completed the AVI50222 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane) and aims to provide the necessary aeronautical experience for a successful career as a commercial pilot. The training takes place in our DA62, PA30, or BN2 aircraft.
With the AVI50519 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating), students gain the ability to fly as the pilot in command in either single or multi-engine aircraft under the Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). This allows them to fly in conditions where visual flying (VFR) would not be practical, enabling them to navigate without reference to the ground. Moreover, this diploma also qualifies you to operate at night under the Night VFR. Mastering instrument flying can be challenging, but it is highly rewarding and often becomes a pilot’s preferred choice over VFR flying operations once achieved.
